Kannywood actress Fati Karishima has made serious allegations against a senior official in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, claiming she was secretly married to him, financially supported with luxury, and later abandoned before he denied any knowledge of their relationship.

In an emotional interview with Dokin Ƙarfe TV, Karishima alleged that her involvement in President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 campaign led to her meeting the unnamed senior government official, which eventually developed into what she described as a secret marriage.

According to her account, the official allegedly provided her with a fully furnished residence and funded a luxurious lifestyle. However, she claimed that despite the arrangement lasting over a year, he never physically visited her home, and their communication was mainly through video calls while he continued to provide financial support.

Karishima further alleged that shortly after the relationship began, she developed a severe and unexplained medical condition that left her with continuous bleeding for about five months and repeated episodes of unconsciousness. She said medical professionals were unable to determine the cause of the illness despite multiple examinations.

She claimed that as her condition worsened, the official gradually withdrew support, eventually cutting off communication completely. According to her, she was left isolated and financially stranded, while many people around her also distanced themselves.

The actress alleged that when she later requested a divorce, the official denied ever marrying her.

“In the end, I lost everything I had. When I asked him to divorce me, he said he had never married me, so how could he divorce someone he had never married? He even claimed that he did not know me at all,” she said.

The allegations have sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users calling for transparency and accountability, especially given the alleged political connections of the unnamed official.

Karishima has not publicly identified the official involved, and none of the claims have been independently verified. As of press time, there has been no official response from the individual or the Nigerian government.
