Lasisi Oluboyo, Ondo state Commissioner for Agriculture, has been appointed as the new deputy governor of the state.
Oluboyo was elevated to the new status few hours after Ali Olanusi, the state’s former deputy was impeached by the state assembly.
Olanusi’s removal occurred in the early hours of Monday after 24 out of the 26 lawmakers impeached him over alleged gross misconduct, including
financial misappropriation and absenteeism from official duties.
