Police in Pakistan have clashed with crowds protesting over an image of the prophet Muhammad published in French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo.
Police Authorities used water canon to disperse the milling crowd near the French consulate in Karachi.
The protest is part of a nationwide rally called by the Jamat-e-Islami religious party.
Charlie Hebdo featured a cartoon of Muhammad in its latest issue, a week after armed men killed it’s top cartoonists.
On Thursday, Pakistani politicians passed a motion condemning the publication.
