Paris Attack: Germany Arrest FiveFive people have been arrested near the western city of Aachen in Germany following a tip that one of them might be linked to the Paris attacks that killed 129 people. Werner Schneider, Police spokesman said three people were arrested Tuesday morning by a SWAT team in Alsdorf, just northeast of Aachen and near the border with Belgium. Two women and one man were picked up as they left a job centre at around 9:30 in the morning after several police cars blocked the car the three were traveling in at the entrance to a parking lot.. The Police later arrested two more people in Alsdorf, but the details of their identities are yet to be revealed.

A manhunt is on in France and Belgium for one of the eight attackers involved in shooting and bomb attacks on restaurants, a music hall and a sports stadium in Paris on Friday evening.

European search efforts are focussing on Belgian-born Frenchman Salah Abdeslam, 23, who investigators say escaped back to Belgium on Saturday after the attacks. Austria’s interior ministry said earlier he had entered the country from Germany in early September, telling authorities he was on holiday.
