Rasheedat Fagbenle has emerged as the winner of the “Made in America, Loved in Nigeria” Video Contest, edging out dozens of entries with what organisers described as an outstanding and highly creative submission.
Fagbenle, known on social media as @Ife_curates, clinched first place, while Tito Abumere (@eniolatito) finished second, and Janefrancis Odinkemma Ugwu secured third place in the keenly contested competition.
The organisers said the top three entries stood out for their strong creativity and originality, effectively capturing the everyday connections between American innovation and Nigerian life. The videos highlighted how U.S. products, ideas and technologies are woven into daily experiences across Nigeria, from lifestyle and business to culture and creativity.
Speaking at the award ceremony, U.S. Public Affairs Counselor Lee McManis commended all participants for their impressive storytelling and visual expression.
“Your videos showcased how U.S. products and ideas continue to inspire creativity and possibility across Nigeria,” McManis said. “They also reinforce the already strong U.S.–Nigeria trade relationship.”
Organisers expressed gratitude to all contestants for their enthusiastic participation, noting that the contest not only celebrated creativity but also strengthened cultural and economic ties between both countries.
The “Made in America, Loved in Nigeria” Video Contest forms part of ongoing efforts to spotlight collaboration, innovation and mutual appreciation between the United States and Nigeria, with the winning entries serving as powerful examples of shared values and global connection.
