… assailant arrested
A student of the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt has been shot dead at a spot where he was eating at the Faculty of Management Sciences on Thursday.
The incident initially sent people scampering but some brave members of the community regrouped and arrested the assailant, who was handed over to the local security operatives in the institution.
The identity of the deceased and the assailant were yet to be known as of the time of filing this report. But a hearse from the university’s medical centre not long after picked up the corpse to the mortuary.
The police and university are yet to respond to the incident.
