Before he left Naija to continue his, daily therapeutic regime in Scotland Johnny Walker was a regular feature on the corrugated streets of the area his “chi” had consigned him since the wind vane of health showed him a new direction for survival.

The regime is athletic and, I dare say, eclectic. He is often one of the early birds walking up and down the streets to expend calories and expel toxic, sweaty fluids from the body.  It’s really a good thing to do.

Here in Scotland his expectation of fair weather in spring has been dashed. “I’m sorry for me” (I pity him lonje be e). The unexpected cold (to him) has reduced him to “edun arinle”, the crawling monkey who cannot do quick-up-step-and-jump because of what he calls “this olori buruku otutu” that has somehow inhibited his ambulatory (locomotive) capabilities. He stays indoors most of the time to avoid “this oloriburuku otutu”(cold weather).

What a time to be far away from one’s natural environment. He now resorts to internal arrangements like doing “jangi rofa, epo moto”, LAND-ROVER, -(GASOLINE (See Saw) in the backyard. Soon he will KANGARA his OTUTUPHOBIA and head back to “our own dear native land” where no cold or snow can prevent us from doing ARIYA, dancing MILIKI dance, and walking the JELENKE WALK.

I don “clever by clever” tell am say if there is no road for onforward movement because of COLD he should at least put his moto for reverse gear.  Home is it!

No place like home even if it is a pigsty or dumpsite.  Home is home.
