Yemen President, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi, has resigned from office along with the Prime Minister.
The duo resigned in protest following the takeover of the capital, Sanaa by Shia Houthi rebels.
President Hadi said he could not continue after the Houthi’s failed to honour a peace deal.
Parliament refused to accept the resignations. However, Houthi rebel figures have welcomed the resignation of the president and Prime Minister.
