More than one hundred Nigerians were on Thursday December 11, deported from an asylum camp in Finland and several other European countries.
The deported asylum seekers included women, children and some with their immediate family.
They all arrived at the cargo terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos at 7.00 a.m. aboard a cargo airline, Privilege Gourment.
One of the deportees, Isaac Ejiofor, who spoke with some journalists, however, said they had no criminal records in Finland, wondering why he was deported, after having spent over one year in the asylum camp.
Ejiofor stated that he was earlier in Greece, before he left for Finland to seek asylum in order to process necessary documents that would enable him to work in the country.
