2023: Labour Party leads in Edo

The candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi is in a comfortable lead as results of Saturday’s presidential election tricke in. Of the 15 out of the 18 local government areas of the state already declared, Peter Obi is leading Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress,  APC and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 11, while the former Lagos State governor has won four.

 According to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin City on Monday, the LP has garnered a total of 290, 025 votes  from 11 LGAs, while the APC has scored 98, 314 votes from four, and the PDP which is yet to win any local government, polled 69, 268 votes.
