Social media has erupted in shock and disbelief as a viral audio clip allegedly captures Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, in a frantic prayer session aboard a private jet that nearly crashed at 34,000 feet.
The incident, involving a Bombardier Global Express 5000/6000 series jet reportedly valued at ₦15 billion unfolded when the aircraft experienced sudden engine failure mid-flight, causing momentary chaos in the cabin.

While the pilots battled to stabilise the luxury jet, a voice eerily similar to Wike’s was heard screaming fervent prayers, calling on divine intervention:

“Satan you are a liar! Father, Father! Oh Jehovah. Blood of Jesus! Father, it is time to prove Yourself! Jesus, you are in charge! Ohhhh Jehovah! Save my soul, save my soul, save my soul!”

The intensity of the plea has stunned Nigerians — especially as Wike, known for his bold, often confrontational political persona, was allegedly reduced to tears and trembling fear during the mid-air emergency.

An unnamed crew member reportedly told sources that the “VIP passenger” strongly believed to be the Minister was so overwhelmed with fear that he soiled himself, prompting the cabin crew to provide a change of clothing.

The incident has triggered waves of reaction online, with many Nigerians struggling to reconcile the image of a fearless, tough-talking Wike with the vulnerable, prayerful voice in the viral clip.

“Even Wike dey fear death? Omo, heaven is real o!” one user posted on X (formerly Twitter).

As of press time, no official statement has been released by Wike or his media team, and the identity of the passenger has yet to be officially confirmed. However, multiple online sleuths insist that the voice in the clip matches that of the Minister “100 percent.”
