Nosike Ogbueyi, special adviser to Bala Mohammed, Minister, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, said his boss decided not to resign from his current appointment after being prevailed upon by Abuja residents to continue with his transformation of the FCT.
Ogbueyi said the minister was the candidate to beat among aspirants vying for the governorship seat of Bauchi State but succumbed to pressures to remain as the FCT Minister.
He made the statement this morning on political platform, a morning program on Raypower FM.
Asked how certain Mohammed was of his reappointment as the FCT Minister after May 29, 2015, when another government is expected to take over, Ogbueyi who recalled that his boss is the longest serving Minister of the FCT, simply said it is most likely for Mohammed to be reappointed to complete his turnaround projects in the federal capital.
It will be recalled that Mohammed betrayed speculations two days ago when he did not resign his appointment to contest the Bauchi State governorship election while six of his former colleagues did so.
