Israel has promised to send in security experts to help Nigeria secure the release of the kidnapped Chibok girls and rout Boko Haram insurgency in the country. In a telephone conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister on Sunday, Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s President welcomed the offer and commended Israel for the assistance.
With the offer Israel has now joined the league of countries offering to assist Nigeria in the fight against terror. Prior to Israel’s offer, the USA, China and France had earlier offered to assist Nigeria rescue the over 200 girls kidnapped in Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents.
