24-year-old Chinedu Ubachukwu has emerged winner of this year’s edition of the Gulder Ultimate Search, GUS.
The reality TV show, which ended in the night of Thursday, October 30, was the 11th season. Ubachukwu joined 13 others in Aguleri jungle in Anambra State for a 26-day battle for the 2014 Gulder Ultimate man title.
A graduate of Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Ubachukwu is an indigene of Anambra State.
He beat his co-finalists, Emmanuel Afolabi and NneCosy Joe, to discover the mythical General’s Helmet, a symbol of this year’s search, aptly tagged, “The Mission.”
And living up to their promise, Nigerian Breweries Plc, organisers of the show, gave Ubachukwu the grand prize of N10 million and a brand new Sports Utility Vehicle, SUV.
“My expectation is very high. I’m from Anambra and my village is actually few distance away from Aguleri. So, I just have to win this one, else I don’t know if I will be able to go home for Christmas, if I don’t win it,” Ubachukwu said before the final episode of the show commenced.
