Members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement across the country and some parts of the world are currently paying their last respect to Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, general leader and Surulere District worldwide chairman of the C and S, whose remains are lying in state at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
Christian leaders from different denominations across the country graced the event. They joined the Fakeye family members and other executives members of the Movement in taking turns to view Fakeye who laid gently in a white coffin holding a white bible.
The event also featured commendation programme where tributes were poured on the departed leader of the C and S Movement.
At the event, he was described as an extraordinary man of God who has gone beyond praying to caring for wounded hearts. They also saluted him for several developmental efforts he has made for the Movement.
Oguntoyinbo Bolaji-Johnson, Chairman, C and S Movement, Rivers State, who also hailed the late Fakeye known to be unbiased to other religions, expressed worry that it will be hard to get the right person who will be like Fakeye in deeds and service to humanity.
His remains will be interred on Friday, April 17, in Imesi Ile,Osun State. Fakeye died on January 11, 2015. He was 78.
