The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri has announced that all curfew passes issued to individuals in Borno State have been revoked.
Tukur Gusau, spokesman of the division, stated this on Wednesday in a statement issued in the state capital.
Gusau said that during the current curfew, only ambulances and fire fighting vehicles would henceforth be allowed passage.
The statement stated, “The division wishes to draw the attention of the residents of Maiduguri that all curfew passes previously issued to individuals are now revoked. The only vehicles allowed to move during the 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew period are ambulances and fire fighting vehicles on duty.”
