D’banj Wins “Best African Artist” At 2014 World Music Awards

Nigerian musician, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj has won the award for the Best African Artist at the World Music Awards held at Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The Nigerian music star beat other African musicians including Fally Ipupa, Wizkid, Davido, Banky W and Iyanya to be the best male African Artiste.

After a three-year hiatus, the massive World Music Awards returned on May 27 with a decked out ceremony in Monaco.

Some of the winners at the awards ceremony include, One Direction for World Best Recording Act and World Best Group, World Best Male Artist, Han Geng and World Best Pop Act, Justin Timberlake.
