The record-breaking feat, achieved on May 15, 2026, also saw Drake become Spotify’s most-streamed artist in a single day this year, generating an impressive 58.7 million streams across his entire catalog.

Spotify confirmed the milestone after correcting an earlier reporting discrepancy caused by a manual review error that accidentally combined streams from two separate tracks on ICEMAN. Following a full audit, the streaming platform issued an official statement acknowledging the mistake and confirming the final numbers.

“On May 15th, Drake became Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2026 in a single day, and ICEMAN became the most-streamed album of 2026 in a single day. We apologize for the error in the initial manual review process and have implemented updated automated review procedures to prevent similar issues moving forward,” Spotify stated.
