A prominent chieftain of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has issued a passionate appeal for unity within the party, warning that internal divisions could jeopardize its chances of reclaiming Osun State in the 2026 governorship election.

Speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye described victory for the APC in the forthcoming August 15 governorship poll as “non-negotiable,” but stressed that achieving that goal would require all party members to put aside their differences and work together.

The APC stalwart urged members to refrain from actions capable of weakening the party, including bitterness, inflammatory comments, anti-party activities, and divisive rhetoric.

According to him, the election is drawing closer, making reconciliation and party cohesion more important than ever.

“The governorship election is fast approaching, and there is an urgent need for us to come together as one big family,” Oyintiloye said.

“No divided house can win a battle. That is why I am appealing to all members to come together and resolve whatever differences we have. APC is cruising to victory.”

Oyintiloye further called on party elders and key stakeholders to immediately address grievances among members to prevent internal disagreements from creating openings that could benefit political opponents.

He expressed confidence in the APC’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, describing him as a highly marketable candidate with the experience, credibility, and political appeal needed to secure victory for the party.

The APC chieftain urged members across the state to rally behind Oyebamiji and mobilize support ahead of the election.

Oyintiloye also highlighted the influence and support of several prominent APC leaders, including Chief Bisi Akande, former Governor Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, APC National Secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore, and other stakeholders whom he said remain committed to returning the party to power in Osun State.

He maintained that the people of Osun are eager to embrace progressive governance once again and predicted that a united APC would emerge victorious at the polls.

Political observers have increasingly identified party unity as one of the most critical factors that will determine the outcome of the 2026 Osun governorship election. With campaigns expected to intensify in the coming weeks, Oyintiloye’s latest appeal underscores growing efforts within the APC to consolidate support and avoid internal disputes that could undermine its electoral prospects.

As the countdown to August 15 continues, the APC faces the challenge of translating its calls for unity into a cohesive political strategy capable of delivering victory at the ballot box.
