Ngochindo, who was trained in Hungary, said he has already approached the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, to approve the medication got from scientific sources so that he can go into mass production.
The doctor, who is also a priest of the Anglican church, said the product was the outcome of a research he carried out in response to the Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world today.
Curiously, Ngochindo had nine years ago claimed to have discovered a drug that could cure HIV/AIDS. He then got a patent licence from Patent and Designs Council in Abuja after the agency subjected the drug, he called chemotherapy, to analysis and tests.
He said he discovered the drug after 23years of research. The Professor of Diabetology and a Research Fellow at Pecs University had in the past claimed to have had a breakthrough in offering a permanent cure for diabetes. That was in the year 2000 when the Patents and Designs Council also gave a him a patent to mass produce the drug.
Ngochindo, who hails from Ogale in Eleme Local Government Area, near Port Harcourt, went on government scholarship to Hungary in 1971 to study medicine. He said he was ready for any scientific challenge anywhere in the world.
He said once NAFDAC and Standard Organisation of Nigeria, SON give him clearance he would go into mass production of the drug.
