Abba Moro, the Minister of Interior, on Thursday said he takes full responsibility for the death of 16 applicants during the ill-fated Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment exercise held on Saturday, March 15, 2014. He also apologized for the deaths.The Minister declared this during the public hearing organised by the Senate Committee on Interior probing the incident.Also speaking at the public hearing, David Paradang, Comptroller General of Immigration said contrary to reports that 18 persons died, the total number of deaths recorded across the country as a result of the exercise was 16.Paradang said seven people died in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, five died in Rivers State, while two deaths were recorded in Niger State, and one in each of Bauchi and Edo State.
