Suleiman Idris, Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Kwara State House of Assembly is dead. He died on Wednesday at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital aged 53.
Idris who was to present the 2015 budget report of the Committee to the Assembly had been rushed to UITH on Tuesday owing to his deteriorating illness.
Medical personnel at the UITH were said to have battled in vain to save Idris’ life. The late Idris represented llesha-Gwannara constituency in Baruteen Local Government Area of the state.
Razak Atunwa, Speaker of the House while expressing shock at Idris’ death, adjourned plenary till Tuesday, February 24.
