Malala Condemns Taliban’s Attack On Students

MalalaYousafzai, Pakistani Nobel Peace Laureate has expressed displeasure over the attack on a Pakistan school on Tuesday by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistani terrorists.

About 130 people, mostly children, were killed in the attack when a group of six Taliban gunmen stormed a military run school in the country’s Northwestern town of Peshawar.

In a statement, Malala, 17, who was also a victim of the dreaded sect in October 2012 said the “heartbroken, senseless and cold blooded” killing of the school children shatters her.

“I condemn these atrocious and cowardly acts and stand united with the government and armed forces of Pakistan whose efforts so far to address this horrific event are commendable.

“I am heartbroken by this senseless and cold blooded act of terror in Peshawar that is unfolding before us. Innocent children in their school have no place in horror such as this,” Malala said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group said it was a reprisal attack in retaliation for recent military aggression against its members.
