The legislative building of Ogu Bolo Local Government Area, Rivers State was today, razed by suspected hoodlums.
Maureen Tamuno, the Local government chairperson expressed dismay over the incident while responding to questions by journalists.
TELL learnt that whereas the suspected hoodlums who allegedly set the local government office alight were not apprehended, the security official that was on duty at the time of the incident has been arrested by the Police for interrogation.
Although no group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident, political wrangling in the oil rich state is getting more intensified by the day following the factionalisation of the state along two major party lines-APC controlled by Rotimi Amaechi, the state Governor and opposition led by Nyesom Wike, Supervising Minister for education.
