President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday unveiled a comprehensive biography celebrating the life and legacy of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the late Nigerian leader as a symbol of humility, discipline, and national service.
The 600-page book, From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, authored by Dr. Charles Omole, was launched at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja during a well-attended ceremony that brought together top political figures, diplomats, and members of the Buhari family.

Buhari, who passed away in July 2025 at the age of 82 in a London clinic, was remembered for his transition from military leadership to democratic governance and his influence on Nigeria’s political landscape. Among the dignitaries present at the launch were his widow, Aisha Buhari; Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; and Gambian President, Adama Barrow.
In his remarks, President Tinubu praised Buhari’s enduring values, highlighting what he described as the former leader’s pillars of humility, commitment to national security, infrastructure development, and pursuit of social justice. Tinubu pledged to uphold Buhari’s ideals, particularly his emphasis on integrity and service to the nation.
