The American Embassy in Nigeria has dismissed claims that some American soldiers were involved in the Nigerian Military helicopter crash that was reported on Monday, November 11, 2014.
“No American was involved in the Yola helicopter crash as reported on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 by some Nigerian news outlets,” the American Embassy said in a statement issued today.
The statement added that, “The United States maintains a robust counter terrorism and dynamic bilateral relationship with the Government of Nigeria. We remain committed in our support to Nigeria’s efforts to stop the abhorrent actions of Boko Haram and associated terrorist groups.”
