Abdulazeez Arisekola Alao, the deputy head of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, is dead. He died in London, United Kingdom, UK on June 18, aged 69.
Born on February 14, 1945, Alao, an Ibadan-based Islamic leader and multi millionaire business man, during his lifetime was noted for his philanthropy towards Islamic causes. He was the publisher of the defunct, The Monitor Newspapers based in Ibadan.
He was also the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland until his death.
