President Goodluck Jonathan has been asked to provide explanation into what he did to ensure companies and individuals accused of embezzling subsidy funds in Nigeria are brought to justice.
Atiku Abubakar, former vice president who made the comment on his twitter handle on Saturday also said the President should tell Nigerians what happened to the indicted companies and individuals instead of making promises to rout corruption in the country, if reelected.
Abubakar said President Jonathan should explain what he is doing to save the falling Naira before reeling out his campaign manifestoes to the public.
“Instead of promises to deal with corruption, the President needs to tell us what he did to the people indicted as subsidy thieves.
“As a sitting leader, the President should tell us what he is currently doing about the falling Naira, not what he will do if elected,” Abubakar said.
