Carter Leslie, the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, has died of a heart attack after he collapsed at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos.
Leslie reportedly slumped on arrival in Nigeria aboard a Delta Airlines on his way from Atlanta, Georgia.
A mild drama occurred at the airport when Leslie fell, as many feared he was suffering from the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, EVD presently ravaging the West African sub region.
It was later confirmed that Leslie died of a heart attack.
His body was taken to an undisclosed hospital where health workers officially declared him dead.
