The Council of State today confirmed the appointment of Sulaiman Aba as the substantive Inspector-General of Police, IGP.
The council made the confirmation after a meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Aba had been appointed as the acting IGP after Muhammed Abubakar, his immediate predecessor, retired from the Police service.
