INEC Card Readers malfunction in Osun

As the governorship election takes off in Osun State today, virtually all Card reader machines provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been reported to be malfunctioning in seven Local Governments.

Checks by our reporters showed that prospective voters inserted their voter’s cards in to the Card reader machines but were unable to read the cards.

Complaints of Card Reader machine malfunctioning have been reported in Osogbo, Olorunda, Isokan, Boripe, Boluwaduro, Ilesa East and Ife Central Local Governments.

Reports have been made to officials of INEC in Wards 04, Osogbo Local Government, Ward 01, Unit 4 of Boluwaduro Local government, Ward 06, Unit 4 of Boripe Local Government as well as Ward 03, Unit 10 of Olorunda Local Government and  Areago Owode Village, Unit 8 Ward 8 Osogbo Osun State.
