Ayo Agbonmuserin, former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
While addressing party leaders and supporters today at the APC Secretariat in Akure, Agbonmuserin described his defection into the APC as a home coming.
Agbonmuserin, who was the Speaker of the state House of Assembly during the administration of the late Adebayo Adefarati, former governor of Ondo State explained that he left the PDP due to what he described as the lack of internal democracy and justice in the party.
He added that the crisis which followed the arrival of the Labour Party into the PDP had crippled the latter.
While welcoming the former Speaker and other new members to the party, Isaac Kekemeke, state Chairman of the party, congratulated the defectors for their foresight and courage, which he said led them to leave the PDP.
He assured the new members that there are no new or old members, as all members will be treated equally.
