Police Disrupts Polytechnic/College of Education Lecturers’ Protest

The protest organized by the Polytechnic teachers and their College of Education, COE, counterparts at the federal secretariat, Abuja, today, has been disrupted by the Nigeria Police. The protesters, comprising teachers and students of the institutions across the country, embarked on the action to force the federal government to meet their demands. But the protest disrupted by officers of the Nigerian Police Force who fired teargas canisters at the protesters. The protesters are, however, not deterred as they say they “will not leave the venue.”
