Yanick Demers, executive director, Robotel Inc, explained during a town-hall meeting tagged Robotel SmartClass+: The 21st Century Digital Classroom in Lagos, that the partnership was a welcome development to his organisation and described the opportunity as an honour. With over 30 years experience, the executive director of Robotel disclosed that the firm has developed computer classroom laboratories with more than 10,000 systems installed in more than 75 countries across the globe.

Olu Babatunde, country manager, Robotel Inc and chief executive officer of Topteck Nigeria, noted that the broadband access in Nigeria has paved way for Robotel to birth innovative products in 2014. Since then, he said several schools have subscribed for the products. “Our pioneer installation was in Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State with 10+1 workstations, followed by Babcock University, Ilisan, Ogun State with 30+1 workstations and Redeemers University, Ede with 30+1 workstations among others,” he stated.
Babatunde added that his organisation was also waiting for approval to install more in Uthman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto; University of Nigeria, Nsukka; University of Sao Tome and Ghana among others.
