Ernest Shonekan, former head of Interim National Government and boardroom guru, who succeeded General Ibrahim Babangida died at the age of 85 at a private hospital in Lagos.
Shonekan presided over the country in an interim capacity between August 26 and November 17, 1993 before he was forced to resign by late General Sani Ababcha.
