Synagogue: ‘Government Investigating Mystery Aircraft’ – Obanikoro

Senate Confirms Obanikoro

Musiliu Obanikoro, Nigeria’s Minister of state for Defence, has disclosed that efforts are on to investigate the mystery behind the aircraft that allegedly hovered around a guest house belonging to the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Lagos, before the building collapsed on September 12.

After the mishap that led to the death of 84 persons while leaving many others injured, the Synagogue Church had claimed that an unidentified aircraft  had hovered above the building many times before it finally collapsed.

Addressing newsmen after a condolence visit to the Church, Obanikoro urged Nigerians to be calm as they await the findings of the investigation.

He said the investigation is under the jurisdiction of the police and they will do all possible best to carry it out properly.

“Human lives are involved and so the issue must not be trivialised or politicised,” the minister added.

He urged journalists to take the feelings of families who lost loved ones into consideration while reporting the incident so as not to hurt them the more.
