Tambuwal Picks APC Governorship Form

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal on Friday picked the All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial nomination form for Sokoto State.

The nomination form, which was presented by the State Chairman of the party, Bala Hassan, was purchased with N6.5million.

At the event, the Speaker said the purchase of the nomination form puts to rest some recent speculation on whether he is going to contest for the governorship position in the state or not.

“I am aspiring to become the governor of the state to coordinate the achievements of our amiable leader, governor Aliyu Wamakko,” he said.

The Speaker further said if elected into office in 2015, he would focus on ensuring the even socio-economic development of the state and Nigeria in general.

“When elected as a governor in 2015 In sha Allahu, I will carry all the members of the party and the people of the state along while at Government House, Sokoto,” Tambuwal pledged.
