Four killed in Third Mainland Bridge Helicopter Crash

Four people have been reported dead in a helicopter crash that occurred this afternoon at the Oworonshoki  part  of  the Lagos lagoon.
The ill-fated Chopper, which was said to be coming from Port Harcourt, plunged into the Lagoon at about 3:40 pm.
According to reports, four of the 12 people on board died from the explosion while four others were wounded. The injured persons have been moved to the nearby Gbagada General Hospital.Three killed in Third Mainland Bridge Helicopter Crash
The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA is being assisted in the rescue effort at the site by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, and policemen. 
A senior police officer attached to Oworonshoki Police Station, who led the police team to the accident scene, said that the aircraft made a loud sound before the crash. Routes to the site of the crash have been cordoned off to make rescue operations easier.
