2015 Elections: Alao-Akala Picks PDP Governorship nomination Form

Adebayo Alao-Akala, former Governor of Oyo State, on Friday, collected the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2015 Oyo State governorship election.

The aspirant, who paid the mandatory N3 million fees, collected the form at the party secretariat in Ibadan through Razak Gbadegesin his former Chief of Staff.

Speaking after the collection of the form, Gbadegesin and Alao-Akala’s committee of friends said, “We are here to collect the form on his behalf and it is due to the fact that we believe in his ability to deliver when he becomes governor of Oyo State.”

Gbadegesin said there was no other person that could wrestle the position from the incumbent governor, Abiola Ajimobi, other than Alao-Akala.

Kola Balogun, another member of the committee, said, “I want to urge PDP members in Oyo State to work hard to see Alao-Akala elected as governor of the state.”

Kehinde Eboda, an official of the PDP, confirmed that the aspirant had fulfilled the necessary condition for the collection of the form.

This increases the number of aspirants who have picked the nomination form on the platform of the party to five others are Femi Babalola, Kehinde Olaosebikan, Olusoji Adejumo and Gbola Adetunji.
