President Goodluck Jonathan will on Wednesday, October 29, pick his presidential nomination form at the national secretariat of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in Abuja.
President Jonathan who is expected to present a bank draft of N22m as payment for the form would have in his entourage some governors of the party, ministers and aides, to the party secretariat.
Reliable sources said the leadership of the party had been informed of this and all members of the National Working Committee have been told to be present on the day.
The Niger Delta Youth for Jonathan, a group of youths supporting the President had volunteered to buy the form for Jonathan.
The group which have their Board of Trustees headed by Benjamin Egbunike had their offer turned down by the party and the bank.
Just few weeks back, the National Executive Committee of the PDP and other caucuses of the party had endorsed Jonathan as the sole candidate of the party for Nigerian 2015 presidential election.
The president declared his intention to contest in the elections on Thursday, October 23.
